Work and Codex allowances rise; Pro 200 cut canceled

OpenAI’s October 29 announcement increases Work and Codex allowances:
Pro 100 and Pro 500: doubled.
Pro 200: the planned cut is canceled. Existing higher allowances stay; lower allowances double to match.
Business Premium: increased, without a specified multiplier in the note.
What this means for your work

Check your usage dashboard before planning a long task. OpenAI’s pricing guide explains that model choice, context, reasoning and tools affect consumption. Twice the allowance does not guarantee twice as many completed tasks.
For Work and Codex, Pro currently has no five-hour limit; weekly limits can apply. The dashboard shows current limits and reset times. API-key usage follows API pricing separately.
